Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Neighbouring Rights Manager to join our team. You will be directly responsible for managing and optimising our artists’ neighbouring rights. Ensuring artists receive fair compensation for their valuable contributions is at the foundation of our company. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of our artists’ careers.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Royalties Director and senior rights managers to ensure effective planning and execution of royalties recoupment strategies.
  • Oversee the administration and collection of neighbouring rights royalties for our artists.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with collecting societies and other relevant organizations worldwide.
  • Identify and register eligible recordings for neighbouring rights royalties.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of royalty statements to ensure accuracy and maximise revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and rights management.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and changes related to neighbouring rights.
  • Provide guidance and support to artists regarding their rights and royalties.
  • Be an advocate for artists’ rights and fair compensation in the music industry.
About You:
  • In-depth understanding of neighbouring rights and music industry regulations.
  • Proven experience in neighbouring rights management or related field.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills to manage royalty statements and maximise revenue.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with collecting societies and artists.
  • Proficiency in music rights management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
Desirable Qualities:
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area.   
  • Knowledge of international neighbouring rights laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with music licensing, copyright, and intellectual property rights.
  • Experience in managing relationships with collecting societies and rights organizations.
  • Understanding of data analysis and reporting techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex royalty-related issues.
  • Passion for advocating for artists’ rights and fair compensation.
